Arts Talk with guest actress / director Sharon Wright

Sharon was raised in Grandview, MO and discovered her passion for acting and modeling just a few short years ago. Since then she has plowed her way into films, TV, commercials and even magazine spreads. Her natural talent, desire and determination have helped her succeed in every aspect she has focused on - even behind the camera. “Change for a Dollar”, a short film written and directed by Sharon Wright. An uncouth man sits on the pavement looking for loose change. What kind of change is he looking for? Follow a man as he affects multiple peoples’ lives with just one dollar, proving that it doesn’t take much to be the change in someone’s life. During college he and some friends formed the Contempory Christian band, Jars of Clay... Matt stepped away early on in their career to go back to college. He has continued writing and producing music, having worked with Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James and many others. In 2007, Matt's first published novel came out, Illuminated, a thriller along the likes of National Treasure. Arts Talk radio interview with sculptor Kurt Dyrhaug



Kurt Dyrhaug earned his Masters of Fine Art Degree in sculpture from the University of Minnesota (1993) and his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in printmaking from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (1989). Kurt is an Associate Professor at Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, where he currently teaches graphic design, sculpture, and drawing. He has lectured and exhibited his work in numerous galleries and museums at a national level.

"Arts Talk with the Johnson Brothers" is a 30 minute interactive, live Internet talk-radio show focusing on all the forms of the arts: Visual Arts (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, etc); Drama (Acting, Directing, Playwriting, etc…); Music (Singing, touring, bands, songwriting, etc...); Dance; Cartooning (Comic books, graphic novels, etc…); Film (TV, Movies, etc…); and Literature by interviewing professionals and educators in their respective fields. Hosts Duane Johnson (artist in Austin, Texas) and Dennis I. Johnson (actor-playwright in Fayetteville, North Carolina) explore the careers, advice, and personality of each guest. Carlo Rodriguez of Gothic films is writer and director of the features “Psycho Killer Bloodbath,” “Naked Horror: The Movie,” and “Long Pig.” He has also written and directed the shorts “Maniac Bloodbath,” “Naked Horror,” and “Psycho Killer Attack.” Carlo is festival director and programmer for the Aphrodite Cinefest International in Huntsville, Texas.
